This treatment focuses on the back, neck and shoulders using oil and a combination of massage techniques. It can be used to relax, soothe or for deeper work on those knots and tense muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Unlike, the Spa version of Hot Stone Massage where hot stones are laid upon the body, our Hot Stone treatments incorporate the heated pebble shaped basalt stones into the actual massage strokes from the very start... held in the therapists hand, the hot stones add a warmth to the already relaxing strokes of a Swedish massage and increase the effectiveness of a Deep Tissue massage.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a technique of manipulating soft tissues in the shoulders and scalp. The therapist uses a range of different massage pressures and rhythms to stimulate the head and neck area.

Myofascial Release uses various gentle techniques and sustained pressure into areas of restrictions in the body improving posture, flexibility and restoring balance to the body.

Shiatsu therapy relies on the use the fingers, thumbs and palm to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal common ailments and conditions, and correct imbalances in the body. Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow and corrects disharmonies throughout the patient's body. In addition to being a deeply relaxing experience, Shiatsu helps relieve stress, treat pain and illness, and contributes to a patient's overall health and wellbeing.
Shiatsu regulates the automatic nervous system activity and stimulates the circulatory, lymphatic and hormonal systems. Poor posture, joint problems, sprains, arthritis, sciatica, acute and chronic neck and back pain, sinusitis, and bronchitis are treatable with Shiatsu.

Soft Tissue Therapy

This massage treatment is designed to support the repair of the soft tissues in the body following surgery or acute injury, and for chronic issues affecting posture, joint mobility, muscular tension (knots) and repetitive strain injury. The treatments will help relieve pain and discomfort, and improve quality of movement. Exercises to improve stability, strength, mobility or coordination may be offered as part of a longer-term plan for recovery and prevention.

This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation but can also be used to energise the body.

Thai Yoga Massage

The therapist uses hands, feet and elbows to apply pressure to important points on the energy lines, together with gentle stretching and applied Hatha Yoga. This releases blocked energy and frees the body's healing potential, restoring balance and harmony.
